DRAWER RUNNER

Drawer runners are a hardware component that facilitates smooth and easy opening and closing of drawers. In the past, drawers were not supported, causing friction when sliding on wooden surfaces. The addition of runners has resolved this issue by allowing for effortless movement. A basic drawer runner system features small wheels attached to the drawer’s external sides that glide along a track installed within the base cabinet frame. The track usually includes an obstruction that acts as a stopper for the wheels, preventing the drawer from sliding off the track. To remove the drawer, one needs to pull it to the end of the track and lift it to a 30-degree angle to pass it over the stopper. Drawer runners are an essential hardware component in cabinetry systems as they ensure smooth and accessible storage.
