CAM LOCK

Cam locks are commonly used in cabinet construction as a type of fastener that ensures the security of the cabinets without affecting their appearance. Typically, they are cylindrical and inserted into the wood, with a hole in one side that holds the tongue of the accompanying bolt. Cam locks are often used at joints to make them more secure and can be easily assembled by consumers, making them ideal for cabinet and furniture kits. Once the cabinet has been fully constructed, cam locks can be hidden from view, making them an aesthetically pleasing option. Some cam locks even provide added privacy by securing the cabinet door completely and requiring a key for opening.
