REFINISHING

Refinishing involves the removal of the existing stain and sealer from wood cabinets, followed by the application of a new stain or sealer. This process is commonly used by carpenters during remodeling projects to update the cabinets to fit the new design. To refinish cabinets, the previous paint or stain is first removed using chemical strippers. The wood is then sanded and cleaned in preparation for the new finish. Although refinishing can be a challenging task, particularly due to the intricacies of cabinet doors and drawer fronts, some homeowners choose to tackle the project themselves, while others prefer to hire professionals to ensure a high-quality finish.
