KNOB

A knob is a single-point hardware used to open and close cabinet drawers or doors. Unlike pulls that require multiple bolts, a knob only needs one to attach to a cabinet. Knobs come in different shapes and sizes to complement any cabinet set. Typically, a knob is bulbous, but it can refer to any decorative piece attached to a cabinet by a short shaft. This is one of the easiest pieces of cabinetry hardware to replace; all you need is a screwdriver to detach the old one and attach a new, stylish version.

There are classic knob styles, such as hand-crafted glass or ceramic pieces from the past. Today, low-cost knob sets are available in hardware stores, but antique-style knobs may still be found in resale shops. Changing the knobs is an easy way to transform wood cabinetry into a classic or modern style. They may be a small detail, but they have a significant impact on the overall appearance of a cabinetry set.
