FULL-INSET

When a cabinet door is fully flush with the face frame of the cabinet when closed, it is referred to as a full-inset door. The door is precisely cut to fit within the frame, leaving no gaps visible. The hardware used, such as hinges or nails, should be concealed as much as possible. To open the doors, knobs or drawer pulls may be added. Sliding doors can also be used for a full-inset cabinet closure. As a result of the door’s design, a large portion of the cabinet’s box is exposed, requiring the interior surface of the cabinets to be stained, painted, or sealed.
